NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The County Commissioners of Carroll County will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 28, 2026, beginning no sooner than 9:00 a.m., to hear public comments on a proposed Ordinance amending Chapters 158, Zoning, and 155 Development and Subdivision, of the Code of Public Local Laws and Ordinances of Carroll County. The proposed Ordinance would prohibit residential uses in planned commercial centers.
To comment on the proposed legislation, please attend the hearing or email the Commissioners at commissioners@carrollcountymd.gov, prior to the date of the hearing. The Commissioners may make amendments to the proposed legislation based upon the comments received and may do so without further hearings. Therefore, it is important for interested persons to be present or send comments.
The Americans with Disabilities Act applies to the Carroll County Government and its programs, services, activities, and facilities. The proposed amendment may be reviewed in one of the following manners:
1) visit the County’s website (https://www.carrollcountymd.gov/goverment/directory/county-attorney/ordinances-and-resolutions/);
2) obtain copies in the main lobby of the County Office Building (225 North Center Street, Westminster, Maryland, 21157) during normal business hours.
